Quang Nam’s noodle
Quang Nam’s noodle (so-called “my Quang” in Vietnamese) is a special type of noodles that originated from Quang Nam Province, Vietnam. Nowadays, Quang Nam’s noodle has become a popular dish in many provinces of the Central Vietnam (like Quang Nam Province, Danang City, etc.).
Danang Beo cake
The Da Nang often uses “banh beo” as snack cake. It is not expensive but has delicious taste and unique scent. “Banh beo” is the specialty of hue dishes in daily life. Every day, as usual, from 3:00 am to 5:00 am, we often caught somewhere on the corner of street, women buy “banh beo”.
Pork wrapped in “banh trang”
Only a dish of pork wrapped in “banh trang” like other rolled dishes, the most important ingredient is pork. Pork for this dish should be rump meat from a 70-kilogram pig. Usually, only 5 kg can be selected and 40% of this is suitable for the dish. The boiled meat must be well done and the pure color of its fat retained. Pork is boiled in medium fire so that it is not well done so soon. Utensils must be rinsed before touching the meat to maintain its flavor and hygiene.
Except for vegetables, fresh onion and green pip bananas, other additional things including fried “banh trang”, noodles (made by rice flavor to roll with boiled pork) are made by the seller for hygiene requirements. Hot fish sauce will make the dish more special.
Cau Mong rare beef
Located in Quang nam province, Cau Mong is 15km from Danang. There are a number of restaurants serving the famous dish.
Slices of beef are prepared so that they have both flesh and skin and roasted on a spit. When eating, season with fish paste, soya sauce, chili peppers, sugar and lemon. Various kinds of vegetable such as green banana, sour carambola, and herbs will give it more flavor. Don’t forget some crispy sesame “banh trang”.
